AI isn’t just a trend anymore—it’s actively reshaping how we work. In a recent announcement, Microsoft shared how it’s doubling down on this shift by integrating Copilot deeper into Windows and launching two new Surface devices built specifically for modern, AI-driven workflows.
Copilot Is Now at the Core of Windows: Accessible to Every Employee, on Any Device
Windows 11 is evolving from an operating system into a smarter work platform. With Copilot built into Windows, users can now summarize emails, meetings, and even personalize the setup of a new device—directly through their OS.
It works across apps, files, and the web, acting like a central hub that takes on tasks for you.
Add to that Windows 365: it lets employees securely access their desktop environment from any approved device—whether it’s a physical PC, a Cloud PC, or a hybrid of both. Companies like Vodafone and Zurich Insurance Group are already exploring this through the new Windows App, which has seen over 3 million hours of use since its preview launch.
Microsoft is also bringing AI into device management. Through tools like Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopatch, IT can automate updates, monitor systems intelligently, and cut back on overhead—without compromising security.
Introducing the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6: Built for Copilot
To really take advantage of Copilot’s capabilities, you need hardware designed with AI in mind. Enter Microsoft’s new business-first devices: the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6.
These are the first Surface models to include Intel Core Ultra processors paired with dedicated Neural Processing Units (NPUs). That means longer battery life, smoother AI performance, and less pressure on the CPU and GPU.
Both devices feature a physical Copilot key for quick access. Surface Pro 10 includes it via the latest Surface keyboard. On top of that, NPU-enhanced cameras improve video quality, while anti-reflective displays make working in bright environments easier.
And yes—these devices are designed with sustainability in mind: ENERGY STAR® certified, made with more recycled materials, and built to be easily repairable with clear visual cues and digital repair guides.
Smarter IT Management with Surface Tools
Microsoft is making life easier for IT teams, too. The updated Surface Management Portal now offers tighter integration with Microsoft Intune. Device rollouts, policy enforcement, and fleet updates can be handled faster and more efficiently.
There’s also a new Surface IT Toolkit—streamlined for everyday needs like deployment, security setup, and compliance checks.
Accessibility Gets a Boost
Accessibility wasn’t forgotten. Microsoft is rolling out a Surface Pro Keyboard with a bold keyset for easier reading, alongside new Copilot accessibility improvements in Windows 11.
And their Adaptive Accessories—tools designed to make devices easier to use for everyone—are now available to business customers.
Now Is the Time to Get AI-Ready
Microsoft’s message is clear: if you want to be future-proof, you need to be AI-ready now. That means upgrading to Windows 11, adopting Windows 365 for secure hybrid work, and equipping teams with AI-optimized hardware like the new Surface Pro 10 and Laptop 6.
It’s not just about keeping up. It’s about empowering your people to work smarter, faster, and more confidently—with tools that are built for what comes next.
